Requirements
Devices
Section titled “Devices”Zuno Music runs on:
- iPhone and iPad
- Apple Watch
- Apple TV
- Mac
Download it once from the App Store and sign in to your server on each device.
Music servers
Section titled “Music servers”Zuno Music connects to your own music server. It supports:
- Plex — sign in with your Plex account.
- Jellyfin — sign in with your server URL, username, and password.
- Navidrome — sign in with your server URL, username, and password. (Navidrome uses the Subsonic API.)
You need at least one of these running, with a music library set up, before you can use Zuno Music. Zuno Music is a player — it doesn’t host your music itself.
Network
Section titled “Network”- For listening at home, your device and your server need to be on the same network.
- To listen away from home, your server needs to be reachable from the internet. Plex handles this for you when Remote Access is enabled. For Jellyfin and Navidrome you’ll need your own remote access set up. See Remote Access & Connection Issues.
What differs between servers
Section titled “What differs between servers”Not every server supports every feature. Notably:
- Favourites (the star) work on Jellyfin and Navidrome. Plex handles saved music differently, so on Plex you add music to your Library instead of starring it.
- Playlist editing is available where the server supports it.
Zuno Music automatically shows only the options your server supports, so you never see a button that won’t do anything.
Plex is a trademark of Plex, Inc. Jellyfin and Navidrome are trademarks of their respective owners. Apple, Apple Watch, and Apple TV are trademarks of Apple Inc. Zuno Music is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
